Koi No Yokan Limited Edition finally arrived this week. I've never waited this long for an overseas order before. orz

I also received MEJIBRAY's latest single アヴァロン (Avalon) earlier this week. It's pretty amazing and I really like it. Can't wait for their next single, DIE KUSSE, which apparently Sophia-sama (ex. Blood Stain Child) is going to sing in a lot! She did the intro for Black Baccarat in one of their previous singles, Sadisgate. Although if DIE KUSSE is more like EMILY (i.e. calmer), I don't think I'll be buying it. 8D

I've also been watching this live stream marathon event called "Awesome Games Done Quick 2013" all week. Literally all I've done is eating, sleeping and watching this (also some studying, but not much...), and I've gotta say, it's one of the best weeks I've had in a long time. XD So Awesome Games Done Quick is a charity event run by this site called SpeedDemosArchive, where they speedrun a whole variety of games for an entire week. 24/7 (a speedrun is obviously a play-through of a game with the intent of completing the game or a specific goal as quickly as possible), while taking donations for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. The marathon was held January 6th through January 13th and in 155 hours they raised $420k (holy crap!! also, pretty epic number^^), and their viewer count peaked at 55k viewers (I think it was during Octodad, lmao). This is the third year in a row they ran this marathon and it was the most successful thus far, last year they raised around $150k, BIG improvement! I really can't wait for next year, I can only imagine it's going to be x10 more awesome!

OH, and I also changed the entire layout of my blog, as you can see. (^-^)

NärCon

I got a ticket to NärCon Vinter for Christmas, so I'll be there in February! I'm probably going alone this time as well. The last convention I went to (UppCon 12) I went alone, but it was fun nevertheless and I made some new friends. But if YOU are going there and want to meet, please let me know! :)

I didn't get much else for Christmas btw. A super comfy blanket, slippers, perfume, tobacco (wot), Tekken Tag 2 and candy. That's it! Only thing I really wanted was a NärCon ticket, everything else was just a plus. I'll probably get some more stuff at New Year's though, from grandma^^.

Update on hair

My hair dye arrived in the mail last week and I dyed my hair on Friday. It went very well and I'm extremely satisfied with the result. It's exactly the colour I wanted!

It looks great, right? Here it looks more blue than green I guess, the colour is like teal and it looks different depending on lighting.

Saturday, I went to Stockholm to see The Hobbit! Funny thing, when me and my friend arrived at the cinema, we lined up to pick up our reserved tickets (we hadn't payed for them yet). This girl in the line next to us starts shouting "Does anyone want 2 free tickets for The Hobbit?!". My friend immediately reacts, which results with us getting 2 free tickets for The Hobbit! It was at another cinema, but it wasn't far from where we were, so no biggie! Anyway, the movie was incredible, I really loved it. I dare say I liked it more than Lord of the Rings. The first movie in the trilogy is my favourite because it is more adventurey, while the others are more epic with big battles, etc. The Hobbit is more adventure, which is why I liked it more. :)

After The Hobbit, we went out drinking. The weather sucked and my new hair got totally obliterated. It was snowy and windy, and ugh!!

Bleach

Some weeks ago I cut my bangs by myself and it did not look like I expected. :D At first I thought it looked kinda bad, but meh, it will grow back. Then a few days later while looking at myself in the mirror, I thought, 'hey, my hair kinda looks like Takemasa's (from 己龍/Kiryu) now'. So I thought I would do my hair just like his, because why not?

I first dyed one side black and then yesterday I went to the hair salon to bleach the other side. I've never bleached my hair before (or dyed it in any other colour than black for that matter) so I thought it looked really funny. Here's how it looks.

Anyways, I've ordered 'Special Effects Sonic Green' hair dye, the various results from it looked the most similar to Takemasa's hair. Will probably be dyeing it this weekend or next week, I hope it turns out okay!

I wonder where my Koi No Yokan order is? Deftones released their new album 'Koi No Yokan' 12th November, and I ordered the Limited Edition Koi No Yokan Bundle which includes CD, Lithograph and a T-shirt. I ordered it 14th November I think, but it still hasn't arrived? Should send a mail or call them or something soon...

Hey, I finished Fate/Zero! Kinda disappointed to be honest. I thought that it would be mind-blowing good, looking at the ratings and shit on MyAnimeList. It was good, but it wasn't THAT good. I liked the first half better, I enjoyed the character development between servant and master more than the action, even if the animation was superb. While Fate/Zero is a great example of an anime that focuses on multiple characters, I would've loved if they did it even more with some of the more interesting characters. There was too much focus on Saber, Rider and Archer in my opinion. Would've loved more Caster (this character was my favourite) and Berserker. It's definitely worth a watch though! I did like it. :)

ALSO, my favourite band BabyDollSymphony is releasing their new album December 10th!!! It's their 2nd original album (they've made 2 cover albums as well) and I'm super excited. Although there's no site that ship outside of Japan... So I asked the keyboardist in the band if he was willing to send me a copy, and he said yes. Yay! Shut up and trust this

Hello! I haven't made a post in a while. A lot of stuff has happened since last time, I guess. The two biggest things being me getting back to gaming and watching anime after a long hiatus during summer (yay!). I lost my passion for both sometime during spring and I can't even remember what I did to pass time back then. I was even in the middle of an anime (Da Capo Second Season) when I stopped watching. It was because of that anime I took a break I think because it was so freaking boring, and I try not to drop animes either unless it's really long and boring (like 50+ episodes, this one was only 26 episodes). But I did get back to it not too long ago and managed to finish it. I gave it a 3/10 score on MAL, haha... And since then I've been watching a bunch of animes. Just after finishing D.C.S.S I wanted to watch something really good, so I started watching Sakamichi no Apollon, this is one of the best animes I've seen in a really long time (it's only 12 episodes, but I finished it in one sitting). A truly epic anime about friendship, love and jazz(!). I never thought an anime would get me into jazz. I immediately started listening to some big jazz musicians after I finished watching it (such as Herbie Hancock, Clifford Brown and Max Roach to name a few). I also watched Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari and Fate/Stay Night, and am currently watching Sankarea. I will continue with Fate/Zero after I'm done with this one (probably tonight).

Gaming-wise I finally started playing Yakuza 4 that I've borrowed from a friend since forever. :D I'm really liking this game, it's very different from anything else I've played. It's basically an RPG mixed with a fighter, very arcade style. I don't know how far in I am, probably almost halfway, but I haven't had the chance to play much due to school and some other stuff. I also started playing some XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which is very addictive and hella fun! Although it has a lot of bugs and clipping issues, but I kinda overlook those issues because I am having that much fun with it. Oh, and I also managed to finally obtain the platinum trophy in Red Dead Redemption. First platinum trophy in a year, mind you! Last one was ICO in September last year. ~_~

Some other new stuff. I purchased a new graphics card for my PC some weeks ago so that I could use 3 screens. I've now moved my 42" TV that I got for my birthday in January but have barely even used it at all and placed it beside my computer.

Here's how cozy my room is now

I can now watch anime and movies while enjoying my bed as well! Before the TV was all the way on the other side of the room and I didn't use it much because I mostly sit in front of the computer when I'm home. My room is pretty big and I only use this side of the room, so I decided to buy a new graphics card, move the TV, and put it to use. Lovely. I also got a new pink carpet which fits in perfectly and makes the room look a whole lot better.

I also got some new CDs and a MEJIBRAY poster. I got the MEJIBRAY Sadisgate single (Regular and TYPE B) and the new SCREW XANADU single (Regular only). I still need to get a frame for the MEJIBRAY poster so that it will fit nicely next to my signed SCREW poster. ^-^ I was also hoping for Manabu regarding XANADU, but I got Rui and Kazuki instead, oh well.

Last but not least, quick update about school. I've so far finished two courses and will finish my third one tomorrow, so only three to go! Next course is Japanese, so I'm very excited for next week. I still have to choose what to study for the two last courses, I'm not sure what to pick yet. I think if the Japanese goes well I will continue to study it at a more advanced level. We'll see how it goes!

BLASTED ANIMALS

 I finally got it! BORN's new single BLASTED ANIMALS. I ordered this about 2 weeks ago along with a shirt from CDJapan, which is why it took so long for it to arrive. But it doesn't matter, because now it's here, and I love it. (^_^) I had watched the PV and listened to the song earlier, but I hadn't heard the other 2 songs that are included in the single. I like them all, but BLASTED ANIMALS the most! Got a sweet card with it as well, hoho.

And here's the shirt. It looks good!

Stockholm archipelago

Earlier this week I was invited to one of my friend's summerhouse which is located on an island called Yxlan in Stockholm archipelago! So I went there from Wednesday till Sunday (today) with a couple of friends. I had never been to the Stockholm archipelago before so it was exciting to be there! It was very beautiful and calm, even though there were many surrounding neighbours and a lot of motor boats driving by. I can't say that we had the best weather... It was mostly cloudy everyday and it even rained a few times, but it was real nice when the sun showed itself!

We didn't really do anything special, besides from being on board a 100 year old steamboat. We brought a lot of alcohol with us, so for the most part we just socialized and enjoyed some beer. (^_^) Of course we did the usual stuff, some bathing, barbecuing, etc. But nothing else, really. D:

I didn't take many pictures because I don't have a good camera, and my phone is from the Stone Age (I really need a new one soon!). (≧σ≦) But here are some...

We played a board game called Trivial Pursuit. It was freaking ridiculous, no one barely knew any of the questions. This particular set was from the '70s or something, the cards said "Soviet" instead of "Russia".

Enjoying a smoke with a friend, 6 in the morning. This was the night where everyone got drunk. Me and another guy stayed up and chatted for a few hours after everyone went to bed. It was very nice outside, lovely morning!

I had a really great time, it is the last vacation week for me after all... So it was nice to get away and relax for a while. School starts tomorrow, oh no!
